Interim Bail Of Zardari, Faryal Extended Till May 15

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday extended interim bail of former President Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur till May 15 in Fake Bank Accounts case.

A two judge-bench of IHC comprising Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhter Kiyani heard on pleas seeking interim bail filed by Asif Zardari and Faryal Talpur.

On the other hand, an upsurge was witnessed earlier in the day in Fake Bank Accounts case’s probe as two more accused revealed their intentions of agreeing to become approvers during case’s hearing at Accountability Court Islamabad.

Judge Mohammad Bashir resumed hearing of the case with Former President Zardari, his sister Faryal Talpur and other suspects present in the courtroom.

During the course of proceedings, two more suspects; Sher Mohammad and Adeel Shah expressed their wish of becoming approvers in the case.

“Adeel Shah is ready to become an approver and he has filed a plea for it too which is being reviewed by Chairman NAB himself”, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Prosecutor told the court.

AC approved Asif Zardari and her sister’s plea seeking a guarantee of their appearance at each court summon. Court has ordered both politician siblings to submit bonds amounting Rs2 million each.

It may be pertinent to mention that since the beginning of the investigation into Fake Accounts case, four accused have agreed to become approvers, including the latest development.

Addressing media representatives outside the court after the case’s hearing was adjourned till May 09, he was stormed with several questions.

When asked to analyse the character of Anti-graft watchdog, Former President said NAB and economy can’t run together.

Commenting on Former Premier Nawaz Sharif’s health, he advised him to opt for medical treatment in a foreign country if his health demands it.

“May Allah better the health of Mian Sahib”, Zardari affirmed.
