Karachi: Minister of Interior Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has lauded the professional role of the Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) and said that the PCG is committed to performing its duties on land and sea against smuggling, drugs, and other heinous crimes.
This he said while visiting the Pakistan Coast Guard (PCG) Headquarters in Karachi today (Friday). Director-General PCG received the federal minister.
According to the spokesperson of PCG, federal minister of interior laid the floral wreath on the martyrs’ monument and paid tribute.
Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed was briefed about the professional matters of PCG, operations against smuggling and PCG responsibilities.
On this occasion, He said that the PCG played an important role not only in time of peace but also in any war situation.
Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed assured that full cooperation will be provided to strengthen and more functionalize the PCG by the government.
