Interior Minister Takes Notice of QAU Protest

Islamabad (October 18, 2017): Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Thursday taken notice over closure of Quaid-e-Azam University for the last two weeks due to protest of the students.

It has been two weeks since students at the Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) started a strike and there have been no academic activities in the university, Interior Minster has finally taken the notice in this regard.

Deadlock between protesting students and the administration of University continued but now teachers have also announced to join the protest.

The QAU students are on strike against the university administration, demanding that the university improve students’ facilities, construct new hotels and withdraw hike in fees. The students have vowed to continue the protest till their demands are met.
