Intl. Day of Remembrance & Tribute to Victims of Terrorism

Web Desk (August 21, 2018): International day of remembrance and tribute to victims of terrorism is being observed Worldwide, including Pakistan.

Pakistan is also in the list of terrorism affected countries, where terrorist groups are always on the look to destroy peace of the country. Pakistan has lost many of its citizen in this war against terrorism, but it failed to affect the strength and bravery of Pakistanis.Whether it is the attack on Gul Makai Malala Yousufzai, or targeted young students of Army Public Schools, or even constant martyrdom of police personnel in explosions. Pakistan has lost the most in this war against terrorism.It was revealed in the report published by Global Terrorism Index, that Pakistan is ranked 3rd on the list of terrorism affected countries. Even after the financial and physical sacrifices of Pakistanis, World don’t seems to bother the value of these sacrifices.

Pakistan is observing this day for the first time, to pay the tribute to all martyrs, who became victims to terrorism. PM Imran Khan in a special message for this occasion, expressed that the remembrance of the victims must go beyond mere words as we commemorate this day across the globe.He further added that Government of Pakistan has taken a number of measures to support victims of terrorism including rehabilitation of temporarily dislocated persons, rebuilding damaged infrastructure, and payment of monetary compensation to the victims and their families.He concluded the message saying that, we stand with the International Community to eliminate this menace and reiterate to take joint actions to extend all support to those who have been the victims of terrorism.
