KARACHI: The investigation committee in Nashwa death case has presented its initial report to Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, in which it was revealed that mid wife Sobia and nursing assistant Moeez showed dereliction of duty.
Earlier, the CM Sindh had formed a committee to present a report in the case.
Nashwa passed away after suffering brain damage allegedly after being administered an excessive quantity of an injection at a private hospital in Karachi.
The report stated that the injection administered to Nashwa had adverse effects on her brain, heart and liver. According to the report, Nashwa could have survived had she been provided proper treatment at the hospital.
Meanwhile, samples taken from the minor have been sent to the forensic laboratory for testing.
Nashwa was under treatment at another private hospital on Karachi’s Stadium Road after her father said she suffered brain damage owing to staff negligence.
