Ireland Decides To Bowl First In Debut Test Match Against Pakistan

Web Desk (May 12, 2018): Ireland has decided to bowl first after wining the toss against Pakistan in their first test match on Saturday.

With rain wiping out the first day of the highly anticipated test match between Pakistan and Ireland, both the teams will be looking forward to the remaining four days.

Imam-ul-Haq and Faheem Ashraf are debuting for Pakistan today.

Earlier, the much-anticipated match between Pakistan and Ireland was washed out due to rain yesterday.

“There will sadly be no play on day one of our first men’s Test,” Cricket Ireland tweeted yesterday.

The match will now be a four-day Test with follow-on imposed on the teams to be of 150 runs rather than 200.“If we can get some walk up with good weather (on Saturday), hopefully it will be a more appropriate environment to start our first ball in Test cricket,”Ireland cricket chief executive Warren Deutrom told BBC.
