Irfan decides not to challenge match fixing allegations

Match fixing accused fast bowler Muhammad Irfan has decided to not challenge the match fixing allegations on him and will submit reply of PCB show cause notice within two days.

Following the direction by the PCB Muhammad Irfan has decided to stay away step to challenge the spot fixing charges as after Irfan’s decision PCB disciplinary committee will decide his fate but sources said after confession Irfan can face six months ban.

Muhammad Irfan already had admitted the contacts with bookies and not informing PCB in this connection citing mother’s death main cause.

On Irfan’s admission PCB officials have the soft corner for fast bowler therefore he was not ousted from PSL second edition. He was directed confession of allegations could skip him to appear before tribunal.

However, FIA investigation can creates barrier for him as his statement could only be proved after forensic test of his mobile phone.
