Int’l Seerat Conference Underway In Islamabad

Islamabad (November 21, 2018): Two day International Seerat-un-Nabi (SAWW) Conference is underway in Islamabad on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW).

According to details, President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi is attending the conference where will address the concluding session of the conference, which is being held under the auspices of Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.

The topic of the conference is “finality of Prophethood and responsibilities of Muslims in light of the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

In yesterday’s (November 20) session, Prime Minister Imran Khan addressed the conference at the opening session.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that we have to emphasis on the importance of teachings of Prophet Muhammad’s (Peace Be Upon Him) and life in order to become better human beings.

Addressing the International Seerat-un-Nabi (P.B.U.H.) Conference at Islamabad PM Imran highlighted over the exemplary life of our beloved Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H.).

“The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) came as a mercy to the worlds. Prophet’s (Peace Be Upon Him) achievements are incomparable,” the premier noted.

He emphasized that instead of taking inspiration from personalities like Steve Jobs or Bill Gates, people must look into the life of the Holy Prophet. (P.B.U.H.).

Recalling his younger days, PM Imran told the audience that once his belief in God strengthened and his understanding of Islam deepened, he realised the purpose of life was to serve humanity and live for others, rather than focusing on oneself.

“It is our country’s misfortune that despite having been created in the name of Islam, some [elements] have [hijacked] the religion of mercy. They claim to be the safe-keepers of our religion, but their acts hurt us, hurt our children,” the premier said.

“Pakistan will become a great nation one day, but it will only become so when we change ourselves.

“Children should be taught about [the importance of] character, about how to become better human beings,” he continued.

PM Imran informed that his government is working on establishing a Seerat chair in three universities, and stressed upon the need for scholars to research on the life and teachings of Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

It is the 43rd conference aimed at promoting religious harmony, tolerance, brotherhood and equality, respect for humanity, non-violence, unity, reconciliation and culture of dialogue.Islamic scholars, from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Afghanistan, Syria, Morocco, and the United Kingdom are participating in the event.

Ulemas are shedding light on various aspects of the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).Federal Ministers, politicians, diplomats of various countries, men, and women are also attending the event.

Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW) Is Being Celebrated With Zeal

Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW) is being celebrated with great religious zeal and fervour across the country on Wednesday.

The day dawned with 31 guns salute at the Federal capital and 21 guns salute at all the provincial capitals.

Special prayers for the unity of Muslim Ummah and progress and prosperity of the country were offered in the mosques after Fajr prayer.

The government and religious organisations, Milad committees and individuals have planned a number of activities including Milad processions, seminars, conferences, and discussion programmes to celebrate the annual event.Image result for Eid Milad un Nabi Celebrates With Religious Zeal Today The sacred day will proceed with offering special prayers in mosques for upholding and flourishing of Islam and religious teachings, unity, solidarity, progress, and welfare of the Muslim ummah.

Numerous Eid Milad-un-Nabi processions will be taken out across the country and ‘Mehfil-e-Milad’ would be held to celebrate the occasion.
