Islamabad Emphasizes Diplomatic Means to Mitigate Tension in Korea

Islamabad (August 21, 2017): National Security Adviser Lt. General Retired Nasser Khan Janjua has emphasized that the tension in Korean peninsula should be mitigated by using political and diplomatic means and channels.

He was talking to Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan Takashi Kurai in Islamabad on Monday.

The Adviser shared concern about security situation in Korean Peninsula and assured the Ambassador that Pakistan will always abide by the UNSC resolution.

Both sides discussed matters of mutual interests, regional connectivity, security challenges and the emerging tense security situation in Korean peninsula. Both sides also agreed to enhance the bilateral cooperation in multiple areas.
