ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police on Friday presented challan of Taimur murder case in the trial court, declaring the murder of the youth by an Islamabad police cop at a check as unintentional.
Police have listed the other cop, who was with the accused at the check pot, as witness instead of co-accused.
As per the challan, the cop Sammi’s intention was not to kill the deceased youth Taimur, who, according to police try to drive away when signaled to stop at the check-post.
Police also included Maheen, the girl present in the car of the victim at the time of incident, as an important witness of the case besides three other policemen and a doctor of PIMS.
It is to be mentioned here that the youth was gunned down on February 3 at a police check post on IJ Principal Road by policemen allegedly for not stopping.
