In an attempt to stop PTI sit-in Islamabad administration has issued a notification for immediate imposition of Section 144 in the federal capital while Capital Development Authority (CDA) too has slapped a ban on installation of PTI banners and signboards in the city.
According to notification there will be a ban on assembly of five or more people and display of all types of arms.
CDA has also started removing banners and posters and as per a notification issued by it a ban has also been slapped on wall-chalking of all types in the city.
Earlier today CDA submitted a notification for allocating a place for protest demonstrations and sit-ins in the federal capital to the Islamabad High Court. As per the notification only Parade Ground could be used to stage protests. The notification was issued after the approval of the prime minister on the court order. The Parade Ground could be used to hold protests after CDA’s approval in advance.
