Dubai: Islamabad United has set a moderate total of 125 runs to rival Multan Sultan on third day of Pakistan Super League fourth edition.
The Islamabad united who batted first after Multan Sultan invitation as its won the toss, scored 125 runs off 20 overs losing 7 wickets.
Except for opener Luke Ronchi, who scored 51 off 33 balls, not a single United batsman in the opening and middle order, was able to generate the required momentum.
Tailenders Samit Patel and Faheem Ashraf with their 29-run partnership dragged the score to 125.
Fast bowler Junaid Khan, Ali Shafiq and leg spinner Shahid Afridi took two wickets each..
Earlier, Multan sultan had invited Islamabad united to bat first after winning toss on 4th day of Pakistan Super League fourth edition.
Islamabad united did not bring any change in the previous team while Multan Sultan has brought two changes in its squad as Morriss and Ilyas replaced by Ali Shafiq and Johnson Charles.
As per points table Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators, Karachi Kings got two points each after playing one match while Peshawar Zalmi, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultan could not get any point.
In the second match of the day Karachi Kings will face Lahore Qalandars.
