MULTAN: Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Saturday has said that the Islamophobia is on the rise in Europe.
FM Shah Mehmood during his address to media said, “The incident was very tragic this was first of its kind in New Zealand.”
“Nine Pakistanis are still missing while one is injured and under treatment at a hospital,” he added.
“Such events never happened in New Zealand this was the first of its kind,” he further added.
“There are 300 hundred Pakistanis living in Christchurch and one is among the injured,” he said.
“Unfortunately Islamophobia is on the rise in European countries,” he added.
In response to a question over Indo-Pak dispute, he said, “We released Abhinandan to de-escalate the situation even people from India have welcomed our peace gesture.”
“We are unsure about the elections in India, I can not expect any good thing from Modi,” he added.
“Pakistan has to defend its frontiers from any sort of aggression,” he further added.
“The next phase of talks will be held on April 2,” he concluded.
