ISPR Asks Public Not to Respond Fake Phone Calls

Rawalpindi (June 25, 2018): The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of Pakistan Army, has warned the people against sharing personal details with fraudsters – impersonating as army officials.

In a statement to the public on media, ISPR denying the link with fake calls said that some miscreants were trying to tarnish military image by making fake calls with the names of armed forces officials demanding CNIC numbers and bank accounts details.

It said the impersonators sought personal details including Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) and bank accounts on the pretext of census verification.

“Please be aware that no such calls are being made from Pakistan Armed Forces,” read the statement, requesting the citizens not to respond to such calls, and immediately report any such attempt on emergency help line UAN 1135 and 1125.
