Gaza (December 9, 2017): Israel has launched airstrikes on Gaza on Friday night, said sources.
Israel has claimed to target Hamas’s offices in Gaza. The attack has been carried out by Israel’s military jets and left several Palestinians injured.
It has already seen conflict explode on the occupied West Bank and Gaza borders where Palestinians have been clashing with Israelis.
Earlier, over 50 Palestinians were injured by Israeli forces’ baton-charged and shelling.
Israel responded with satisfaction to the president’s announcement, in which Trump also said he was setting in motion the process of moving the American Embassy from Tel Aviv.
Trump, ignoring warnings from the international community, announced on Wednesday that the US formally recognises Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and will begin the process of moving its embassy to the city, breaking with decades of US policy.
While Hamas said Trump’s move which has been hailed by Israel but slammed across the Arab and Islamic world has “opened the gates of hell”.
