Abu Dhabi(October 2, 2017): Despite Yasir Shah’s brilliant Leg break bowling Pakistan’s batsmen failed to get very low target of 136 runs and concede defeat at the last day of the first Test at Abu Dhabi.
Sri Lankan spinners rattled Pakistani batting and never let them to make any big partnership. After losing five early wickets Captain Sarfraz Ahmed and Haris Sohail kept the hope of Pakistan alive but after the Sarfraz Ahmed’s departure, wickets started falling apiece.

Pakistan top order crumbled in the face of Sri Lanka bowling, after a brilliant five-wicket haul by leg-spinner Yasir Shah left Sarfraz XI needing just 136 runs to win on the final day of the first Test.The seemingly easy target, however, soon loomed large as Sami Aslam (2), Azhar Ali (0), Shan Masood (7), Babar Azam (3) and Asad Shafiq (20) were sent quickly back to the pavilion.
Earlier in the opening session today, pacer Mohammad Abbas bagged two wickets to take Pakistan within sight of victory on the final day of the Test.Abbas dismissed Mendis and Lakmal within the opening hour of the morning session, getting the former trapped LBW for 18 and the latter caught in the deep for 13.
Shah starred with figures of 51-5. On Sunday, he grabbed the key wicket of Dinesh Chandimal to leave Sri Lanka fighting to avoid defeat.
