WEB DESK: Indian superstar Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor made her Bollywood debut last year with Karan Johar’s ‘Dhadak’ and has become a darling of media since the movie’s release.
Fans are also comparing her with Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan but Janhvi has established her individuality at least in the fashion world long before her debut.
The ‘Dhadak’ girl, however, is being trolled on social media for plagiarism as she wore a – a blue sequined dress and sported a bob wig with a fringe in one of her magazine photo-shoots.
Other than members of Twitterati, the actress was also called out by popular fashion critic Diet Sabya who posted a video showing that the outfit is a copy of luxury designer Balmain’s blue sequined dress from its 2018 collection.
The actress and the magazine got called out for plagiarism while Kapoor also got immensely trolled for sporting the bob wig.
Her fans, however, say that this was not Janhvi’s fault as she might have been oblivious about the dress being a copy.
The actress will be seen in Karan Johar’s upcoming movie ‘Takht’ and is expected to be seen as a slave girl in the period drama. The film, which is based on the fight to the finish for the Mughal throne, is slated to hit the screens in 2020.
The movie will see stars like Ranveer Singh essaying the role of Dara Shikoh, the eldest son of Shahjahan, while Vicky Kaushal will be step into the shoes of his younger brother Aurangzeb.
