Lahore (July 7, 2017): Jamaat-e-Islami has decided to march on US Embassy in Islamabad on July 9 against the US decision to designate Hizb-ul-Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin as terrorist.
The JI’s central executive committee’s meeting was held here with party chief Sirajul Haq in the chair. The meeting discussed overall political situation of the country with special focus on Panama Leaks issue.
The meeting also mulled over party’s strategy in the wake of Panama JIT’s investigation and government’s reaction to it.The JI chief strongly condemned US move to designate Syed Salahuddin as ‘global terrorist’.
He added that JI would hold march against the US decision on March 9 in Islamabad at any cost. He asked party workers to converge in large number in front of US embassy to protest the US decision.
The JI chief also directed party leaders to contact opposition parties leaders regarding JI ongoing campaign ‘Corruption Free Pakistan’ and Panama issue.
