PESHAWAR: An important development has been made in the Kharqamar incident as nine-member jirga consisting up of tribal elders of North Waziristan has been formed.
The jirga was formed after a sudden visit of the adviser of erstwhile Fata Ajmal Wazir of the area.
The nine-member jirga included Chief of Waziristan Malik Nasar Ullah, Chief of Dawar Malik Khanzaib, Malik Shah Nawaz Mada Khel, Malik Khan Marjan, Malik Habib Ullah Darpa Khail, Malik Jan Faraz, Malik Mir Qadir Khan, Malik Ghulam Khan and Pir Aqil Zaman Pati.
Tribal elders have agreed on the establishment of peace in the North Waziristan and the jirga will consult all parties concern for a peaceful solution of the Kharqamar incident.
Adviser erstwhile FATA Ajmal Wazir has called the jirga meeting tomorrow in Peshawar while he has said that the government will use every possible resource to ensure peace in North Waziristan. “I am well aware of tribal norms and culture and the jirga will be helpful for durable peace of the area.” Adviser said.
He also said that distribution of compensation amount to affectees of the Kharqamar incident has been started.
