Joe Root top scorer, Woakes highest wicket taker of Pak Vs England test series

England’s Joe Root remained top scorer during Pakistan versus England test series with 512 runs while man of the series winner Chris Woakes who disturbed whole of Pakistani team during the series remained top wicket taker during the series.

All three positions of top scores during Pakistan and England test series are occupied by England batsmen. Joe Root scored the highest number of runs during the series with score of 512 runs while Alastair Cook made 423 runs and stood on second position while Jonny Bairstow piled 366 runs and got third position.

The green shirts star Younis Khan got fourth position and Younus Khan scored 340 runs with average of 48 runs in four test match.

Moeen Ali from England scored 316 runs, Azhar Ali made 295, Pakistan’s skipper Misbah Ul Haq piled 282  runs and  Asad Shafique made  274 runs. While Pakistani wicket keeper- cum- batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed scored 193 runs with average of  32 runs in four test matches.

The UK bowler ruled whole of the series as he took 26 wickets and awarded the man of the series. Chris Woakes also made a record taking highest number of wickets against Pakistan. The green shirts Yasir Shah succeeded to take 19 wickets.

Sohail Khan just playing only two test matches won the third position as he took 13 wickets. England’s Stewart Broad took 13 wickets after playing all four test matches while Muhammad Amir got 12 wickets.
