JUI-F candidate from NA-237 withdraws in favor of MQM-P’s Rauf Siddique

Karachi: The Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) has withdrawn its candidate from NA-237 in favor of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) candidate Rauf Siddique.

Addressing a presser at Karachi Press Club on Wednesday today, the MQM-P candidate and prominent leader Rauf Siddique said that the JUI-F has withdrawn its candidate from NA-237 in favor of him.

Former provincial minister Rauf Siddique said that the MQM-P will always remember the JUI-F decision.

He apprised that Jamiat-ul-Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has announced to withdraw their four candidates in Karachi, including one for National Assembly and three for Provincial Assembly seats, in support of MQM-P candidates.

Rauf Siddiqui said decision is taken by Fazl-ur-Rehman in connection with the political alliance of JUI with GDA and MQM in Sindh.

He informed that the constituencies where JUI has withdrawn its candidates include NA-237 where JUI candidate Ehsanullah Hazarvi has withdrawn in favour of Rauf Siddiqui while three candidates from PS-101, PS-103 and PS-104 have also withdrawn in favour of MQM candidates. 

He said that Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman has earlier as well behaved affectionately and love with the party.

The JUI-F candidate Maulana Muhammad Ghayas said that the consultation between two parties were continued and this decision was taken on the directions from the party high command.

Rauf Siddique said that retaining of law and order situation in his constituency is the responsibility of the police.
