KARACHI: The body of renowned preacher and ‘Naatkhwa’ Junaid Jamshed was shifted to Karachi in C-130 plane from Islamabad.
The funeral prayer of the renewed pop-singer-turned-preacher would be offered on Thursday at Moin Khan Academy after Zuhur prayer.
The body was brought to Karachi from Islamabad in a C-130 plane of Pakistan Air Force (PAF).
Earlier, funeral prayer was offered at Noor Khan Airbase in Chaklala before the body being sent to Karachi. The prayer was led by Khateeb Noor Khan Airbase Maulana Abdul Rasheed.
Air Chief Air Marshal Sohail Amaan, PAF officers, Junaid bother Humayun Jasmhed, renown preacher Maulana Tariq Jameel and other attended the prayer.
The body of Junaid was wrapped in the national flag and a smart contingent of PAF presented salute to it.
The late preacher had close association with PAF. He was son of a PAF officer had acquired his early education from PAF school. He was a frequent visitor of PAF bases.
His close association with PAF can be gauged from the fact that despite shunning his music career and after becoming a preacher, he recently recorded PAF’s song in his voice.
