Junaid Khan Included in World Cup Squad for Third Consecutive Time

KARACHI: Fast bowler Junaid Khan has been included in the squad selected for the ICC World Cup for a third consecutive time as he was also the part of Pakistan’s team in 2011 and 2015 World Cups.

Unfortunately, the seamer did not get the chance to present the country on the field in the last two World Cups.At this year’s World Cup, the third-time-lucky left-arm pacer will be Pakistan’s most senior bowler and will be expected to lead the attack as well as guide the young pacers in a predominantly youthful pace-bowling attack for Pakistan.

The other young guns Mohammad Hasnain, Shaheen Afridi, Faheem Ashraf and Hasan Ali will all be looking up to Junaid for learnings.

The 29-year-old Junaid, who picked up 71 wickets in 22 Tests, 108 in 74 ODIs and only 8 in 9 T20Is, will lead the attack of Sarfraz-XI.
