ISLAMABAD: Justice Sajjad Ali Shah on Wednesday took oath as judge Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar administered oath to Sajjad Ali Shah at a ceremony held at Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The ceremony was attended among others by judges of the apex court, Attorney General for Pakistan, senior lawyers and officials.
Before evaluation to Supreme Court Justice Sajjad Ali Shah was Chief Justice of Sindh High Court. The recommendation to elevate Justice Shah was given by Judicial Commission for Appointment of Superior Court judge and approved by the Parliament Committee on Judge Appointment.
It is to be mentioned here that President of Pakistan using the powers vested in him under Article 177 (1)of Constitution has give approval to appoint Justice Shah as judge Supreme Court of Pakistan.
