Karachi (September 02, 2018): Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on Sunday ensured that justice would be served to everyone.
While hearing a case on houses being bulldozed in Korangi, CJP Mian Saqib Nisar has said that those who legally own property near Nasir Jump in Korangi area would have their houses protected and be served justice.
During the hearing on Sunday, the chief justice barred the Karachi Development Authority from razing down the houses near Nasir Jump in Korangi.
According to the petitioners, KDA had decided to bulldoze their houses as the authority was of the view that the structures were built through china cutting, under which plots of parks and land earmarked for public amenities are sliced for housing structures. The petitioners said they were also served notices and asked why they were allotted the land if it was sliced through china cutting.
The chief justice stopped KDA from further action and sought record from the authority and revenue board.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Saqib Nisar called on the protesting people in his chamber after reaching Supreme Court Karachi Registry building.
Chief Justice heard the problems of the protesting residents in his chamber.

Earlier, residents of Chakra Goth protested before the Supreme Court Karachi Registry against Karachi Development Authority (KDA).
The protesting residents of Chakra Goth said that they are living in the area from many years, but KDA wants to demolish their houses, which is injustice with them.

They added that 438 plots’ owners have been asked to vacate the land , according to the KDA the land was acquired through china cutting, said the protesting residents.
On the occasion security was beefed up outside the Supreme Court Karachi Registry building.
On the other hand, CJP also met with the families of the missing persons who were also protesting outside SC Karachi Registry building at his chamber.

The Top Judge sent the names of missing persons to commission of the missing persons.
On the occasion, Justice Saqib Nisar assured the relatives of the missing persons for the recovery of their loved ones.
