Kabul (August 15, 2017): At least 25 taliban insurgents were killed and several others were wounded after Afghan National Defense and Security Forces retaliated the attacks launched by the Taliban insurgents in Mirza Aulang area of Kabul.
Afghan security forces have also destroyed at least 19 vehicles and motorcycles used by the militants.
Earlier, Taliban had seized control of Faryab province. The officials in the districts had appealed for reinforcements and for special force in order to drive back the insurgents.
The Taliban overran Kohistan district in northern Faryab province after storming the district government’s headquarters – which houses the police headquarters.
