An armed clash between two groups in Landhi area of Karachi claimed life of a man and six other injured on intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday, while police has arrested as many as dozen of suspected persons in the search operation around the area after the clash.
The armed clash took place at Landhi area of 36 B and both the sides resorted to exchange of fire which resulted into injuring of seven persons.
The injured were shifted to the Jinnah hospital Karachi while one of the injured succumbed to injuries and the man identified to be Muhammad Hussain and rest of the remaining injured included Sharif, Shahzaib, Shuja, Qasim and Bani.
Police has carried out search operation in the area after the clash and rounded up to more than one dozen people.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Afnan Ameen said that a petrol bomb was discovered from the arrested persons.
The situation is tense in the area since yesterday.
