KARACHI: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) ended their sit-in after assured by Sindh government to trial Dr. Khalid Soomro murder case in military courts and to accept demands regarding Madarasas registration.
Sindh law adviser Murtaza Wahab and adviser to CM SIndh Abdul Qayyum held talks with JUI-F leaders and assured them to meet their demands. On this eve, talking to media Murtaza Wahab said that all possible measures will be taken for the arrest of killers of Khalid Mahmood Soomro and in this connection Sindh government has also written letter to Interior Ministry today for trial of Khalid Mahmood Soomro, while JUI-F will be taken into confidence regarding registration of Madrasas in Sindh. The rally participants ended their sit-in after having assurance by adviser to Sindh law ministry.
It must be pertinent to mention that JUI-F leaders marched rally over their leader Khalid Mehmood Soomro murder case was not trialed in military court. Rally participants gathered at Numaish roundabout, where they began marching towards CM House; hence the rally staged sit-in after being prevented by police to go towards CM House.
Traffic was seriously affected due to sit-in, while a long queues of vehicles in Guru Mandir, Sadar, Soldier Bazar, Garden and Old City area caused worst traffic jam, due to which people had to face serious problems.
