Knife Attackers Continue To Spread Fear in Karachi Residents

Karachi (October 5, 2017): The number of cases registered over the psychopathic attacks on women by bike-riding knife-wielding attackers has risen to seven with two more cases registered after the five more women were stabbed early last evening, however Karachi Police is still unable to grab the culprits. 

The latest cases against the unknown suspects were registered are at Shahrah-e-Faisal and Aziz Bhatti police stations.

The bike-riding knife-wielding psychopath stabbed five more girls in a short span of three hours early last night as police and all other law enforcement authorities not only failed to arrest the maniac but have also failed to find any clues that could lead to his arrest.Last evening the maniac first attacked a woman named Sonia in Gulshan-e-Jamaal as within thirty minutes of the incident he moved to Rashid Minhas Road and targeted Noreen.Within an hour of the two attacks, 3 another woman — a student of Federal Urdu University of Arts Science and Technology — was attacked in the metropolis’ NIPA Chowrangi vicinity.

Over the next couple of hours, the assailant stabbed a 13-year-old girl In Gulshan-e-Iqbal area.

It may be mentioned here that the first attack was reported on September 25. Since then, a total of 13 attacks have been reported.Notwithstanding, CCTV footages and other information police failed to arrest him. According to SSP Gulshan the attacker has injured the women using knife. The case of attack on Shaheen in Johar Square was registered.The knife attacks have resulted in panic and uncertainty over the safety of the people particularly the women who are the primary targets of the maniac. The failure to apprehend the psychopath is causing extreme anxiety and apprehensions to the parents about the safety of their daughters and it has also taken a toll on the business and trade activities particularly in the areas where these attacks have occurred because women are staying home due to fear.
