KARACHI: A heatwave is likely to hit Karachi starting in the current week between September 21 (Saturday) and September 24, the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s (PMD) said on Friday.
According to the Met Office, the weather will remain hot and moist today due to the high humidity in the wind.
The Met Office said that the city will face extreme weather conditions between September 21 and September 24 when the mercury may soar up to 39 degrees Celsius due to the halt in the sea breeze.
The Met Office also called on all stakeholders to take precautionary measures and remain updated on the situation.
Thatta, Badin, and Tharparkar are likely to experience heavy rain with thunderstorm while there is no chance of rain the Karachi, the office added.
