Report Hira Zaki
Karachi (October 11, 2017): The bad news is that the mercury is forecast to rise between 40-42 degree centigrade today. The good news is that after lasting for another day tomorrow the weather will return back to normal on Friday.
The weather will start cooling down due primary to blowing of sea breeze to bring the mercury substantial down.
This means that the Karachiites have to brave the heat wave, which reminds them of torrid May in October, for today and tomorrow.
As already mentioned the Meteorological Department has forecast the mercury to peak to 40-42 degree centigrade today.
Special directives issued by related authorities advice the people, particularly elders and children, not to venture out of the houses unnecessarily to help avoid the heat stroke.
Meanwhile, the Met Department has forecast mainly hot and dry weather in most parts of the country over the next twelve hours with thunder rains expected to lash at a few places in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The temperature in various major cities of the country recorded this morning: Islamabad and Murree 16 degree centigrade, Lahore and Karachi 24 degree, Peshawar 19 degree, Quetta and Gilgit seven degree, and Muzaffarabad 17 degree centigrade.
