Karachi (August 21, 2017): Rain lashed out various areas to turn weather pleasant across the entire city.
The welcome showers have come after couple of days heat wave. People, particularly youths and children came out on roads to enjoy sudden but pleasant change in weather.
Light to moderate rain reported in Gulistan-e-Johar, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Malir, Korangi, Shah Faisal Colony, Sharah-e-Faisal and other areas of the city.
Wet spell helped brought down mercury as people thronged to seaside to enjoy the weather. It also provided the much needed relief from heat and humidity.
Met office said that weak seasonal low lies over Balochistan. Monsoon currents from Bay of Bengal are penetrating northeastern parts of the country. A westerly wave is likely to affect upper parts of the country during next few days.

Rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in Mirpurkhas, Karachi, Hyderabad, Sh.Benazirbad, Kalat, Zhob divisions while at isolated places in Sibbi, Nasirabad, D.I khan, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, D.G khan, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala divisions, Islamabad, FATA, Kashmir & Gilgit-Baltistan. Weather remained hot and humid elsewhere in the country.
