KARACHI: Sindh High Court has reinstated A D Khawaja as Inspector General Sindh.
The court suspended Sindh government’s notification of appointment of acting IG Sindh.
The court ordered the acting IG Sindh Sardar Abdul Majeed to handover the charge immediately to A D Khawaja.
The court issued the order on a contempt of court petition over the removal of A D Khawaja from his post and posting of Sardar Abdul Majeed in his place as IGP Sindh.
The court also ordered that A D Khawaja should not be removed from his post till next hearing on April 6. The court further said in its order that it feels that further stay order is needed in this case.
Meanwhile, the Sindh government has decided to challenge the verdict the consultations over which have begun.
