Federal Minister Railway Khawaja Saad Rafique has announced compensation amount for dead and injured persons in today’s Karachi train accident.
As many as One million Rs each will be given to family of dead persons while half million Rs each will be given to injured persons.
The minister said that initial investigation into the train accident will be completed within 72 hours while detailed investigation will be completed in 10 days.
Khwaja Saad Rafique also has expressed grief over loss of precious lives and also expressed sympathy to families who lost loved one in the tragic accident.
He said that driver and his assistant is still missing adding that Zikrya Express hit Farid express instead of stop as signal was red. Rafique said that the driver of Zikrya Express was experienced why he neglected the signal, the reason will be found soon.
The minister said that some irresponsible official negligence causing loss of precious lives and defaming the institution.
