KARACHI: Two persons have been arrested in an allegation of harassing a girl in the Essa Nagri area of Karachi.
The accused have been arrested after the girl uploaded her video on social media demanding the arrest of the culprits.
SSP, East, Sajid Sadozai in his statement informed that both the person involved in teasing Maha Amir have been arrested while their names are Yousuf Bonairi and Anwarzad Alias Colnel.
Maha, who is a student of matric class had uploaded a video on social media in which she narrated that two dissolute persons are threatening her of dire consequences on not doing friendship with them while they also teased and tortured her mother and sister. Due to which they twice have tried to commit suicide but fortunately, they remained safe.
She also informed that his father has turned mentally retarded after an accident.
Governor Imran Ismail ordered officials an immediate police action against the culprit taking notice of the incident after the video went viral. After which the police taking action arrested the duo.
