Countrywide Rallies Mark Kashmir Solidarity Day

Web Desk(April 06, 2018): Kashmir Solidarity Day observed on Friday across the country to condemn the on-going Indian state terrorism in Occupied Kashmir and to express support to the Kashmiris in their just struggle for securing their inalienable right to self-determination.

The decision to observe the Solidarity Day was taken by the Federal Cabinet at its meeting held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Monday following the killing of innocent people by the Indian troops in occupied Kashmir on Sunday.

Islamabad: Observing Kashmir solidarity day the religious parties have staged protest against the Indian forces atrocities in Kashmir and US forces airstrike in Kundos, that left more than 120 students killed, and demanded international probe in both issues.

The workers of religious parties in larger numbers gathered in Islamabad and chanted slogans against India and US as they also carrying banners inscribed with slogans against US and Indian forces.

The protesters submitted condemnable resolutions in Indian and US embassies.Karachi: PPP and MQM have also stage separate protest rallies in Karachi to express solidarity with Kashmiris. The workers of both parties demanded the International community to take immediate notice of Indian barbarism in Kashmir.

Peshawar: Various political parties and social organizations took the street against the Indian atrocities and in solidarity with the people of Kashmir and hundreds of thousands people record their protest.

Faisalabad: The people in large numbers particularly students marched from Hilal-e-Ahmar chawk to district council in solidarity with Kashmiris.

Protesters strongly condemned Indian cruelties with Kashmiris and demanded immediate halt of genocide of people of Kashmir. The expressed regret over the criminal silence of international community.

Azad Kashmir: The main function of the Day was held in Muzaffarabad where AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider addressing the public gathering paid rich tributes to the martyrs of liberation struggle.

He said India will never succeed to suppress the freedom struggle by killing the innocent Kashmiris.

AJK Prime Minister also condemned unprovoked Indian firing at Line of Control and Working Boundary.

President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi have reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued and resolute moral, diplomatic and political support to the oppressed people of Indian Occupied Kashmir in their valiant struggle for the fundamental right to self determination.In their separate messages on Kashmir Solidarity Day on Friday, both the leaders termed the recent killing spree by the Indian security forces in held valley as aggressive and mindless act.

President Mamnoon Hussain called upon the international community to be cognizant of its responsibilities and urge India to facilitate the visit of independent Fact Finding teams to look into the gross human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said the Jammu and Kashmir dispute is the unfinished agenda of partition of the subcontinent and remains one of the oldest disputes on the agenda of UN Security Council. He said Pakistan strongly condemns the systematic State terrorism and brutal killings of the people of Occupied Kashmir by Indian forces.Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said people of Pakistan and international community have utmost respect for the people of Occupied Kashmir for their unparalleled courage and persistence in facing the worst kind of State terrorism, human rights abuses, violence and suppression by the Indian state apparatus.

The Prime Minister said that Pakistan will continue to extend its political, moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people until the realization of the right to self-determination.Tehran: The Kashmir Solidarity day was also observed other parts of the world and people raised their voice in support of people of Kashmir.

A program was held in Pakistan Embassy in Tehran and the participants vowed to continue moral support of Kashmiris.

Addressing to participants Pakistan Envoy to Iran Asif Durrani said that India atrocities have been manifold against innocent people of Kashmir, however such dreadful acts could not stop them to get self-determination.

Asif Durrani also thanked Iran’s government for their support to Kashmiris.
