Kashmiris, Sikhs Hold Protest Outside WH Against Indian Atrocities

Washington (June 27, 2017): Kashmiri and Sikh communities staged a protest demonstration outside the White House against Indian atrocities on unarmed people on the eve of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with the United States President Donald Trump on Monday.         

The protestors were chanting slogans against the Indian government. They were holding banners and placards inscribed  with slogans in favor of their demands.  Dozens of Kashmiri were holding placards inscribed with “Kashmir in pain, Indian in shame.”

The protesters were of the view that Indian government and forces were involved in human rights violations in Kashmir and Punjab. Sikh community were demanding a separate and free state.
