Srinagar (July 19, 2017): Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over observing Accession to Pakistan Day on Wednesday with renewed pledge to continue the struggle for achievement of right to self-determination and to translate the idea of accession of the entire Jammu and Kashmir state to Pakistan.
The day is observed to commemorate the resolution adopted at the platform of All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference in Srinagar in 1947 demanding Kashmir’s accession to Pakistan.
In Mirpur, a seminar will be held with the coordination of various social, political, traders, and public representative organizations. Various rallies are also being organized to reiterate complete solidarity with the people of Pakistan.
Kashmiris are vowed for their right to self-determination after facing aristocracy of Indian troops in Indian occupied Kashmir. Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir are historically inhuman, while it is the story of struggle for freedom by unarmed Kashmiris.
Kashmiris have been facing brutality, their enthusiasm for freedom and accession to Pakistan appeared strongly in their hearts, the day,desired to affiliate with Pakistan was practiced after the election of 1946 in Kashmir, when Muslim Conference emerged as representative organization of Kashmiris by taking all seats of Muslim.
In a meeting of Muslim Conference, Kashmiris decided to affiliate with Pakistan on July 19, 1947 at the residence of Ghazi Millat Sardar Ibrahim in Srinagar, while resolution for accession with was unanimously approved, since then this day is being celebrated by Kashmiris around the world.
