Kathmandu (September 08, 2018): Seven people including a Japanese trekker have died as chopper crashed in western district of Gorkha, in Kathmandu.
According to authorities, the Kathmandu-bound Altitude Air helicopter, lost contact with air traffic control after taking off from the western district of Gorkha and crashed into a hillside in central Nepal.
Kathmandu airport general manager Raj Kumar Chettri said that helicopter was carrying seven passengers, including a Japanese trekker, out of which six couldn’t be contacted yet.
He further said that, ‘we are trying to reach the crash site by air and on foot. But the weather is hampering our rescue operations’.
