United States has agreed to contribute as mediator for Pakistan and India over Indus Water Treaty, as US Secretary of States John Kerry said that US is ready to find acceptable resolve of Pakistan and India over Indus Water Treaty.
John Kerry telephoned Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, saying that he was made aware regarding complaint by Pakistan against India over Indus Water Treaty. US Secretary of States told Finance Minister that United States wants to find an acceptable resolve of the issue between Pakistan and India.
Finance Minister, in response said that Indus Water Treaty is a global agreement and World Bank should ensure that India will abide by it. He said that the right of millions of Pakistanis was given protection in the agreement, while US contribution to resolve the issue will be highly commendable.
