Khaqan’s Physical Remand Extended Till August 29

ISLAMABAD: An Accountability Court of Islamabad on Thursday approved a 14-day extension in physical remand of former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in the infamous LNG Terminal case.

The PML-N leader was produced before court by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) amid tight security.

After hearing arguments of both prosecution and defendant, the court extended Khaqan’s remand by 14 days, ordering the anti-graft body to produce him on August 29.

The PML-N leader is accused of granting tenders of LNG-Terminal to his “blue-eyed individuals” and caused a loss of millions to the national exchequer.
