Islamabad: The senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Khursheed Shah has expressed reservation over the role of information minister Fawad Chaudhry for the extension of military courts and said opposition parties are not comfortable with him.
Talking to media the former opposition leader in NA said that government was not serious in the extension of military courts and, therefore, handed over such a serious issue to the non-serious person, however, it would be better if PM Imran would have to take the responsibility.
“The PPP will support the military court or not is not the issue of time, it will decide the party later stage,” he said.
Commenting over PTI’s withdrawal from a petition seeking Asif Ali Zardari disqualification, Shah said that it was a positive step, however, PTI did not have any evidence against Zardari.
“If PTI approach SC it will again come back to ECP as it is the most appropriate forum for such kind of issues,” he said.
