SUKKUR: Senior Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Khursheed Shah on Friday said that the real cause behind Asad Umar announcing his decision of stepping down as Finance Minister is not his ‘failure’ in the duration of eight months.
In his statement, the PPP stalwart expressed his thoughts on the recent major reshuffling that has gripped federal cabinet of the PTI-led government.
He claimed that Imran Khan has gone far off from his political ideology.
He claimed that Shehryar Afridi was removed as Interior Minister over former Pakistan Army officer Ijaz Ahmed Shah’s recommendation.
“Government falsely vowed the public prior to general elections. The opposition has been saying since the very first day that this government lacks policy”, Shah claimed.
Commenting on the Premier, the senior politician alleged him of ‘singing songs of corruption’ during his visits to foreign countries, hardening investment in the country.
The PPP leader reiterated his stance of prioritizing the Parliament, adding that he had always advised former prime minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif to contact the Parliament on high times.
