ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah on Tuesday said that no one care about the issues concerning national security, cautioning the government that absence of ministers from the house is sending out a dangerous message.
Speaking in the National Assembly, Shah came down hard on the government for absence of ministers from the session of the National Assembly.
He said that the parliament is silent over the important issues including Mashal Khan’s lynching, Kulbhushan Jadhav and Afghan border and others.
Shah blamed the Prime Minister for the absence of ministers from the National Assembly. When the Prime Minister’s attendance in the House is mere 6 percent then why the minister would be attending the session of the house.
He added that there in no one to care about a sensitive issue such as Dawn Leaks. “Nobody notices the daily walk out from NA, and no one is concerned about sensitive issues such as Dawn leaks,” Shah said.
He said that they were under compulsion to save the democratic process as they prefer even a faulty democratic system over dictatorship. He added that the PPP was staging walkout from the house for the last five days but no one took notice of the issue.
“The PM has erased the difference between democracy and dictatorship,” the opposition leader said.
