ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah has rejected the recent increase in gas tariff, saying that they would not allow anyone to do injustice with the poor masses.
Rejected the government’s move to raise gas tariff, Shah said that on one hand government says the foreign exchanges reserves were at highest level of country’s history while on the other hands the poor were being deprived of two-time meal. He said that the PPP would not accept this oppressive system.
Meanwhile, Opposition Leader has urged Chief Election Commissioner to extend deadline for revising the electoral rolls by one months.
In a letter sent to the CEC, Shah said that the deadline for revising electoral rolls was expiring on October 10. He requested the CEC to extend the deadline for at least a month.
