Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Rise In Hepatitis Diseases

Peshawar(June 20, 2018): In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Hepatitis diseases has risen significantly.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa District Health Information System has released a report of 2017, which shows that more than 14,000 people were infected by Hepatitis B and C. As per the report, more than 4,16,000 people were screened in 25 districts of the province.Report shows that the rate of hepatitis patients is highest, 58% in Bannu. In Peshawar, more than 4,000 people have been found suffering with Hepatitis. While in Mansehra, more than 1,000 patients are infected with Hepatitis.
