PESHAWAR: The five officials of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) including Assistant Commissioner Riaz Miyani have been recovered after being abducted for almost three months.
According to sources, the abducted officials escaped on their own from the clutches of kidnappers and reached Scouts camp in South Waziristan’s Wana.
Sources said that kidnappers had previously taken all FBR officials to Afghanistan, but later brought them back to Pakistan.
Moreover, the recovered men are yet to meet their families.
It is to be noted that few unknown armed men on April 25 had abducted Riaz Miyani Ahmed and four other FBR officials in Tank.
Riaz Miyani was kidnapped while he was visiting his home town Kot Murtaza where he came for Fateh Khani of his deceased mother.
