Peshawar (September 12, 2018): Nine labourers were killed on Wednesday in an explosion in a coal mine in Akhorwal area, according to sources in the political administration.
According to sources, gas produced from the coals filled the mine leading to an explosion which resulted in the collapse of a part of the mine, four bodies have been recovered.

Eleven labourers were trapped thousands of feet underground when the mine caved in, sources added.
According to the Deputy Commissioner of Kohat Khalid Illyas, the incident occurred at 8am.
He added, no is trapped under rubble.
Moreover, the deputy commissioner said, the three injured labourers who were rescued have been shifted to the hospital for medical treatment.Earlier on August 13, Bodies of eight workers were pulled out from a collapsed coal mine in Sanjdi.
At least 17 miners were trapped thousands of feet underground when an explosion caused the mine to cave in.
Numerous workers lost their lives or suffered a physical disability in incidents in the mines.
Earlier on May 05, 17 labourers died and 6 others injured when coal mine caved-in in Quetta.
According to officials, coal mine incident occurred in Margut area of provincial capital, FC, PDMA and Edhi volunteers immediately rushed to the scene for rescue operation.There were 23 labourers working at the time of coal mine incident, rescue workers shifted 17 dead bodies of labors, where as 6 people were admitted to hospital who got injured.
