Karachi (June 07, 2018): At least three suspects, including notorious target killer Shafique Kala, have been apprehended after an encounter with Rangers during a raid in Korangi area of Karachi in the wee hours of Thursday.
Rangers spokesperson said that the target killer Shafique Kala, his accomplice Aleemuddin and another suspect were arrested during Korangi operation and the raid was conducted by 51-C Rangers on a tip-off about the presence of Shafiq Kala and his accomplices in the area.[highlight]
[/highlight]One Rangers personnel was martyred and another injured in the operation launched by security forces in Illyas Goth, Korangi, Karachi in the wee hours of Thursday.

According to Rangers spokesperson, Hawaldar Ilyas laid down his life in the line of duty whereas sepoy Ibrahim was injured. Further reinforcement of Rangers and police was called in to launch a search operation in the area.
Shahbaz, alias Osama who opened fire on Rangers was injured in an exchange of fire and shifted to JPMC. Whereas injured Rangers sepoy was shifted to CMH Malir.
