PESHAWAR: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued results of polls on 13 of the 16 seats of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly where Independent candidates and ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf are witnessed on a roll.
Historic scenes were witnessed in the merged tribal districts on Saturday as millions of voters headed to polling stations to vote for their favourite candidates.
This was the first time elections were held in the erstwhile FATA as the world witnessed the replacement of militancy with peace in the region.
The issued results displayed five seats won by Independent candidates, followed by four seats for PTI, two for Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) (JUI-F), whereas National Party (NP) and Jamat-e-Islami (JI) grabbed one seat each.
OFFICIAL RESULTS OF 13 KP SEATS
PTI candidate Anwer Zaib Khan won from the first Bajaur constituency with 12,951 votes.
PTI representative Ajmal Khan was victorious with 12,194 votes from the second Bajaur constituency.
PTI candidate Hameedur Rehman won from the third Bajaur constituency with 13,436 votes.
PTI’s Raheem Shah won from the Mehmund constituency with 9,669 votes.
Independent candidate Abbasur Rehman swept the second Mehmund constituency with 11,751 votes.
Independent candidate Shafeeq Afridi won from the first Khyber constituency with whopping 19,733 votes.
Independent candidate Bilawal Afridi won from the second Khyber with 12,814 votes.
Similarly, Independent candidate Mohammad Shafeeq swept the third Khyber constituency with 9,796 votes.
JUI-F’s Mohammad Riaz was victorious from the Karam constituency with 11,948 votes.
Independent candidate Syed Ghazi Ghazan Jamal won with 18,448 votes from Orakzai.
From the North Waziristan constituency, PTI’s Mohammad Iqbal Khan clinched the PA seat with 10, 200 votes.
JUI-F candidate Mohammad Shoaib won from PK-115 with 18,102 votes.
